Attention deconcentration in freediving

Freediving is an extreme sport so it is highly important to estimate chances of successful dive adequately. To turn to the surface at the proper moment athlete has to keep an eye on his condition; he must consider different circumstances (current, thermal cline, sharks, penguins and so on); and react actively to situation changes (if there are high waves, give your snorkel to your buddy – let him swallow water instead of you – and breathe lying face-up preparing to dive).

Methods of Freediver Training

Recreational freediving gives great opportunity to switch attention from meaningless fuss on the surface to the inward absorption in the serenity of water. Slow swimming harmonizes relationships between highly agitated mind and usually inactive body, producing sensation of muscle joy. Breath holding on comfort mildly shakes up an organism, activating metabolism. The main difficulty in freediving lies in mastering efficient technique of swimming, since freediving assumes absolute minimization of efforts.

Study of the factors of free divers` blood oxygenation

The problem of reserve possibilities of the organism is closely connected with the problem of adaptation, which reveals itself through mobilization of functional reserves. Under the influence of systematic trainings the ability to mobilization of reserve possibilities of the athlete’s organism in significant degree is defined by the amount and character of training loads, as a result a dominant morpho- functional system shapes.
